"In this project, I explore a typology of the varied cruciform shapes of jet aircraft flying precisely overhead, as if frozen in space. By decontextualizing these highly detailed photographs, I aim to express the complexity and beauty of form. "

Details
A typological series of perfectly framed shots of aircraft just before landing. The work was published by Abrams as AirCraft the Jet as Art, in 2005. Two printings sold out and it is now a collectible. The work was featured in museum shows in Denmark and Scotland, as well as solo shows at the Ulrich Museum of Art in Kansas, and a year-long solo show at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. The work has received numerous awards and been published and collected worldwide.
