Dr. Formalyst, a visual artist and AI minimalist, draws on a 25-year background in architecture, design, coding, and teaching. His career explores the psychology of aesthetics, uncovering the reasons behind our brain's attraction to beauty and intrigue. This led to the creation of his alter ego, Dr. Formalyst, devoted to examining the impact of visual elements in their purest form on human perception and emotions.

His artistic focus revolves around creating discordance in viewers by contrasting the emotional responses evoked by a work's form with those arising from the actual subject it portrays. Specializing in video production, Dr. Formalyst merges CGI and AI, employing staged 3D visuals to guide AI interventions. This approach allows him to maintain absolute aesthetic control throughout the creative process to convey complex ideas using the fewest possible visual elements. Navigating the challenges of restraint inherent in AI art, Dr. Formalyst views minimalism as a necessity. For him, anything extraneous to form or concept becomes a superfluous decoration.
